Symptoms
These conditions usually build quietly. Watch for:
- Persistent tiredness and daytime sleepiness
- Excessive thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss (diabetes)
- Heaviness at the back of the head, giddiness (blood pressure)
- Weight gathering around the waist, breathlessness
- Indigestion, gas, constipation or irregular bowels
- Changes in weight and mood, hair fall (thyroid)
Do not guess without testing — blood sugar, blood pressure and thyroid tests are simple and widely available. Bring whatever reports you have to the consultation.
How treatment works at Arogyam
The consultation builds a full picture of your routine — when you wake and sleep, when and what you eat, hours spent sitting, stress, and any test reports available.
Diet plan
A personalised plan in line with M.Sc (Food & Nutrition) training — built from ordinary food in your own kitchen, not expensive supplements or imported items. The aim is change you can sustain for years.
Yoga therapy
Cooling, calming practice for blood pressure; practices that activate the abdominal organs in diabetes; and gradually increasing activity in obesity. Each comes with a home plan.
Pranayama and stress management
Stress affects blood pressure, blood sugar and sleep alike. Anulom-vilom, bhramari and relaxation are made part of the regular practice.
Keep taking your medication
Never stop diabetes, blood pressure or thyroid medication on your own. As control improves, any change in dose is your prescribing doctor’s decision, based on your reports.
